Resources

I have spent so many days, so many evenings, late nights going down rabbit holes online. One query leads to another, as I’ve worked to understand, educate myself, research the science, tie things together in my mind—so that I not only believe, but also know. I provide resources here I trust so you hopefully don’t have to go down the rabbit holes, too.

Grief Support

Helping Parents Heal

helpingparentsheal.org

Helping Parents Heal (HPH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting parents whose children have passed. Through support and resources, HPH aspires to help individuals become “Shining Light Parents,” meaning a shift from a state of emotional heaviness to hopefulness and greater peace of mind. HPH goes a step beyond other groups by allowing the open discussion of spiritual experiences and afterlife evidence in a nondogmatic way. HPH welcomes everyone regardless of religious or nonreligious background and encourages open dialogue.

Dr. Gary E. Schwartz says there’s huge amounts of evidence that, when put together, make an overwhelming evidential case for life after death. When you integrate all five areas of the research noted by the books below—none of which is definitive in itself—it’s far beyond reasonable doubt. “In fact, the only way that you can doubt this, is to engage in unreasonable doubt.”

Life After Life by Raymond Moody, MD (on near-death experiences)

Hello from Heaven! by Bill Guggenheim and Judy Guggenheim (on after-death communication)

Children Who Remember Previous Lives by Ian Stevenson, MD, and colleagues at the University of Virginia (on reincarnation)

The Afterlife Experiments by Gary E. Schwartz, PhD (research on and with mediums)

The emergence of postmaterial communication technology as discussed in books by Dr. Schwartz: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence, Greater Reality Living, and the upcoming The SoulPhone Experiments. His article “Photonic Measurement of Apparent Presence of Spirit Using a Computer Automated System” was published in Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing.
